1. Overview

Wealthy Whiz Kids, LLC ("WWK," "we," "us," or "our") publishes financial literacy curriculum, the Budget Adventure Series of children's books, and the Certified Wealthy Whiz Kids (CWWK) facilitator certification program. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, our course platform, and our email communications, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

By using our website or enrolling in our curriculum, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

Information you provide directly

  • Contact details submitted through inquiry, enrollment, or contact forms, such as name, email address, and organization (school, homeschool co-op, or facilitator).

  • Billing and account information when you purchase curriculum, books, or facilitator certification through our course platform.

  • Email address and preferences when you subscribe to Weekly Whiz Tips or other newsletters.

  • Any information you include in messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through our website and course hosting platform.

  • Cookies and similar technologies, described further in Section 6.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to register an account, deliver curriculum, and process payment.

3. Children's privacy

Our curriculum is designed for children from first grade through high school, so protecting young learners is a priority. Accounts, purchases, and billing on our platform are set up and managed by a parent, guardian, teacher, or facilitator, not directly by a child.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Where our curriculum is delivered in a classroom, co-op, or facilitator setting, the enrolling adult (teacher, parent, or facilitator) is responsible for obtaining any consent required by their school, district, or organization before a child participates.

If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information directly and without appropriate parental or school consent, we will take steps to delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us without consent can contact us using the information in Section 12 to request review or deletion.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage accounts, and deliver curriculum, books, and facilitator certification materials.

  • Process payments and send order confirmations and receipts.

  • Respond to inquiries from families, schools, co-ops, and prospective facilitators.

  • Send Weekly Whiz Tips and other communications you have opted into, and let you know about relevant updates to our programs.

  • Maintain, secure, and improve our website and course platform.

  • Comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting recordkeeping.

5. Third party service providers

We rely on trusted third party platforms to help run our business. These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually and technically limited to the purposes below:

  • Course hosting platform: currently Podia, transitioning to FreshLearn, used to host curriculum content, manage enrollments, and process related payments.

  • Payment processing: payments for curriculum, books, and certification are processed by our course platform's integrated payment processor. We do not directly store full payment card numbers.

  • Email service provider: used to send Weekly Whiz Tips and other opted-in communications.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how it handles data on our behalf. We choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for the information they process.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our website and course platform may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how our site is used so we can improve it. You can usually adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may not function properly without them.

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only:

  • With the third party service providers described in Section 5, solely to operate our business.

  • When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.

  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of WWK, our facilitators, or our families, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary.

  • In connection with a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information would remain subject to a policy at least as protective as this one.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from Weekly Whiz Tips or other marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails.

  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you or your child, subject to our legitimate business and legal recordkeeping needs.

  • Contact us with any privacy question or concern using the details in Section 12.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy law. We will honor requests consistent with those laws where they apply.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, and comply with legal obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
